Overview: Nature at Your Place is a free three session programme generously supported by the T-Gear charitable trust. Learning outcomes for this programme are flexible. Your objective may be to connect students with the natural world; to learn about New Zealand species; to improve your school grounds to encourage and support native wildlife. Zealandia Educators can act as facilitators to kickstart a school project, inspiring students to learn about native flora and fauna and how to support it in their community.

The programme offers:

- Outreach pre-visit to school by Zealandia Educator

- Sanctuary visit

- Outreach post-visit to school by Zealandia Educator

Curriculum links:
Year 1-3: Living World
Year 4-8: Science, Social Science, Technology
Year 9-13: Science, Technology

Duration:
Outreach pre-visit - Max 3 hours (incl travel time for Zealandia staff).
Sanctuary visit - 2.5 hours facilitated session either morning or afternoon.
Outreach post-visit - Max 3 hours (incl travel time for Zealandia staff)

Suitable for: Yr 1-13

Numbers: The programme supports 50 students (incl transport to Zealandia). Larger group sizes are possible but charges will apply.

Cost: Free for up to 50 students. Additional students will be charged at $9.50 each (maximum 60 students for the sanctuary session). For every four (4) students visiting the sanctuary you can bring one (1) adult free of charge. Additional adults will be charged at $24 pp.

Available to: Students enrolled at a decile 1-6 New Zealand school.
